The 5 Elements of the Be You Academy

People often claim that being yourself or being succesful is not easy.
It requires hard work, they say.
Forgetting who we truly are. That’s easy.
Desperation and compromising to fit in. That’s hard.
The work we do here is not easy, nor is it hard.
It is what it is… and it’s worth it.

1. Community

When we use technology with the intent to contribute and support each other, we come closer together instead of feeling isolated. Another benefit is that you don’t waste time traveling. Your mobile or computer is enough to connect. I do prefer, like most of us, to meet physically, but we don’t live in the same town or country, nor do we share the same schedule.

Being part of a virtual community with likeminded can be powerful to overcome the collective pessimism in a society based on fear.

2. Real Skills

We usually call them Soft Skills. My teacher Seth Godin suggests that we start calling them Real Skills, and I couldn’t agree more with that. These are skills we look at coworkers, life partners, and friends., and they are needed to overcome yourself to make a change happen.

Empathy, clarity, creative thinking, teamwork, resourcefulness, problem solving and communication skills are just some of them. We can learn and become better at each one of them. Therefore, most of our lessons here at the BE YOU Academy will have a strong focus on improving these skills.

3. Goal Setting

The truth is that most people aren’t good at setting measurable goals. When you follow the steps that serve your goals and vision, you feel fulfilled and significant. In other words, you take your life in your own hands.
It’s ok if you don’t know yet what your vision or goals might be.
We will change that. Every month you set your own measurable goal. After three to six months, you will be able to observe how much your life has changed for the better.

4. Breakthrough & Repetition

A breakthrough can be making a tough decision, achieving an important goal or tackle a difficult challenge.
Those can be life-changing moments, but what happens next? New tools and methodologies learned in workshops are beneficial, but they need repetition.
At the BE YOU Academy, you can accept tasks focusing on your daily life challenges so you can train and master various skills and virtues.

5. Lasting Change

In the workshops Breakthrough & Awakened Pro there’s a starting point and a finale. During a 30 day sprint, participants have two to three days a new task assigned. At the BE YOU Academy, we have a different, calmer rhythm.
A workshop is not less effective, it just serves a different purpose. The priority here is stability. We focus to achieve lasting changes.

Tolee is a “connector” in the context of connecting the right people to make change happen or connecting the dots to gain clarity. While at the same time his endless curiosity to learn and understand how human beings think, feel, and decide is a driving force that helps him and the people he works with overcoming obstacles.

In the past 5 years, he has manifested outstanding results in his life “out of the blue”, and then sabotaged himself subconsciously because he “wasn’t ready”. Quantum leaps are real, both ways 😉

In the corporate world he is training teams, and consulting decision-makers of global brands all over Europe, USA, and Southeast Asia.
